A monosquare (known as a Pure Square in Tetris Worlds) is a 4x4 square made of four copies of one type of tetrominoes, featured in The New Tetris and Square mode of Tetris Worlds. When one is made, a gold square appears. Similar to multisquares, clearing a line containing part of a monosquare scores more lines than the actual number of lines.
